We reach our campsite for the night in the evening. We pitch our tent between snowfields. We enjoy the warming evening sun and cook dinner on our hobo cooker. Nestled in this impressive mountain landscape, we enjoy the evening hours. On the opposite side of the valley, large chunks of snow and ice repeatedly break off the north face and thunder down the valley in huge avalanches. We marvel at the spectacle. When the first thick rain clouds reach us, we crawl into the tent. The next morning, the first rays of sunshine wake us up. After a hearty breakfast, we set off at 8am and hike for 3 hours to the next Postbus stop. Our first cantonal tent adventure is a success!
